Surrounded by striking architecture and buzzing excitement, he was focused on capturing each model’s walk, grace, and style. But when Kalynn stepped onto the runway, something shifted. She moved with an effortless confidence and elegance that stood out from the rest. Her beauty was undeniable, but it was more than that; there was a presence about her, something magnetic that held his attention long after she disappeared backstage. It was the kind of moment that stops time, the kind of impression that carves itself into memory. Over the weeks that followed, Richard and Kalynn continued to cross paths at local fashion events, community gatherings, and creative spaces. After sharing a cozy top-floor loft, exploring cities near and far, and raising their two beloved dogs Peter Parker and Harley Quinn it became clear to Richard and Kalynn that they were more than just a great match. They were each other’s home.
The defining moment in their love story came during a Western Caribbean cruise aboard a Norwegian ship. On May 28, 2017, just after returning from a sun-soaked day in Belize City and as the sky faded into twilight, Richard took a deep breath, dropped to one knee, and asked Kalynn to be his forever.
Her reaction? Let’s just say it was award-worthy “ugly cry” so powerful it could have earned a standing ovation. Through the happy tears, she gave a resounding “YES.”
For Richard, the moment was bigger than any victory he could imagine greater than a St. Louis Cardinals championship or a fresh pair of Louis Vuittons. Kalynn was the real prize. And to this day, he counts himself incredibly blessed to have her by his side for today, tomorrow, and every day after.
