He was working as a photographer at a fashion runway event in the City Museum of St. Louis, capturing the grace and elegance of the models. Among them was Kalynn, whose poise and beauty left an indelible mark on Richard. This date was significant for more than one reason. On the same day, an article in the New York Post discussed a monumental shift in U.S. wealth over the coming decades, a thought that lingered in Richard's mind. But more importantly, Kalynn's stunning presence on the runway captivated him in a way that he likened to the legendary knockout by Joe Louis against Max Schmeling in a historic boxing match.

After sharing a top-floor loft, exploring numerous cities, and raising two beloved dogs, Peter Parker and Harley Quinn, it became clear to both of them that they were a perfect match.
The pivotal moment came during a Western Caribbean voyage on a Norwegian Cruise. On May 28, 2017, as they returned from Belize City just after sunset, Richard made the romantic gesture of bending the knee to propose. Kalynn, overcome with emotion, responded with an "ugly cry" that was nothing short of award-winning. Her answer was a resounding "YES." For Richard, the triumph was more significant than any Louis – be it Joe Louis or Louis Vuitton – Kalynn was his ultimate prize. He feels immensely joyful and blessed to have Kalynn M. Jones as his partner for today and all the tomorrows to come.
They are thrilled to celebrate their special day surrounded by family and friends on October 27, 2018, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
